OOTD + Lazy Saturday

  Spent the morning with my lovely mother at the Troy Farmer's Market getting all sorts of goodies and possibly the best lemonade ever (water, lemon and sugar..who knew?)

Shirt-Gap / Shorts- CR / Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

I always equate farmer's market runs with chambray and denim (maybe a stereotype...), so I knew that my newly found but not-so-recently purchased Gap chambray would definitely be a go-to. The printed shorts are those that feel like pajama shorts, but look way more put-together. Perfect for an early Saturday morning.

Selfie Sunday! Portobello Christmas Market

HOORAY first of the themed blog postings, starting things off right with Selfie Sunday!

We are beginning the Christmas season quite early here in Londontown, which apparently is the norm here, but to Americans who are waiting for the nonexistent Thanksgiving rush it seems a little like a preemptive strike on the Yuletide cheer.

We scooted on over to the turning on of the Portobello Road Christmas lights and it definitely got us in the spirit!

I decided to wear my red skater skirt with some sheer black tights and my black riding boots. On top, I donned a white button down blouse (such a cop-out, it's my go-to. thanks, private school uniform days!) I also wore my new black draped leather and knit jacket, which I now know does not photograph well.

We also went into the COOLEST vintage shop on Portobello road (I showed great restraint and didn't buy vintage Ray Ban's, Mom) and the dressing rooms were covered in newspapers all the way back to 1976! So cool. Enjoy the myspace picture I managed to snap:

Matchy Matchy

In the mad rush to get ready for my god-awfully early class (10:30a.m...) I have to be honest, I was just looking to clothe myself with some sense of style with the least amount of effort.

It wasn't until I left the building, that I looked down, to be honest, to do a zipper fly check, and realized that my peach and gold flats matched my peach pants and gold belt exactly. 

I was immediately appalled, then intrigued by the matched qualities, then appalled again. 

I can't decide if I love or hate this, I'm so conflicted.
